Hey I’m Heath.

I built this website with the goal of creating a platform that captures the history of Rosewood Downs and reflects the community who call is home.

Having grown up in a home backing onto Tirhatuan Park over 40 years ago I’ve seen the transformation of this area, as well as having heard the discussion for decades regarding Rosewood Downs becoming its own suburb and wanted to at a minimum create a space that provides a voice to the people who live here.

This website is just the start and I welcome suggestions regarding information that is missing or can be improved as well as loving to hear stories from people who’ve lived here regarding their reflections on what makes this such a special place that people never want to leave.

I hope you’ve enjoyed exploring the site and looking forward to seeing Rosewood Downs recognised as a neighbourhood community and prized hidden pocket nestled between Mulgrave, Rowville and Dandenong North.
